Narratives are essential because these document lives. Our stories define and identify who we are, the lives we have lived and anticipate to live. The purpose of this site is to provoke reflection, debate among readers, particularly on questions of femininity, race, meaning of belonging & identity. The narratives will cover issues that face women on a daily basis & the complexities of navigating through the 21st century.
Hopefully these stories will further illuminate that as women our similarities far exceed our differences. That our emotions are more or less expressed in a similar fashion regardless of our cultural identities, our class, our levels of attainment- these the externalities that which by default seem to determine who we are.
